00 an hour Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Team Member is responsible for processing and assembling manufactured parts produced through compression molding and vacuum forming.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
include the following, other duties may be assigned.
Remove parts and materials from equipment line and perform quality inspections.
Assemble and pack parts as part of a manufacturing cell.
Use fixtures, templates, dies and/or machinery (e.
g.
presses, grinders) and hand tools such as rivet guns, sonic welders and measuring tapes.
Achieve production objectives following work instructions, performing in a safe manner and according to Hematite policies and procedures.
Support tool change overs.
Record production and scrap.
Print and apply labels to finished goods bins.
Adhere to all safety rules and environmental laws and procedures.
All other duties/assignments required to support internal and external customers.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Strong attention to detail Good hand-eye coordination Ability to follow a step by step process consistently Basic computer use skills CORE COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Quality Awareness EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent Previous automotive high volume manufacturing preferred LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to communicate in both written and spoken English MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to use basic math skills REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
