In this role, you will help manage the daily workflow, assign employees tasks, and monitor productivity in your work area.
We have multiple openings across all shifts:
1st Shift - 6am-2:
30pm, 2nd - Shift 2:
30pm-11pm, and 3rd Shift - 11pm-7:
30am.
Essential Job Duties:
Communicate daily with the Operations Supervisor important information related to daily operations.
Perform spot audits of completed shipments/receipts to ensure they are correct and complete before end of shift.
Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities.
Demonstrate leadership in Safety related issues.
Responsible for thorough knowledge of appropriate safety practices; must wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety policies and practices, enforces safety throughout the Distribution Center, and provide new hire safety training and awareness.
Ensure the proper implementation and documentation of distribution center work procedures.
Collaborate with the Operations Manager, Operation Supervisor, and other site leadership to meet on time delivery, cost, and quality of service objectives.
Assign daily tasks to team members to ensure efficient productivity output.
Coach and train employees on daily tasks.
Respond appropriately to and escalate performance concerns, employee complaints and other employee relations matters to the Operations Supervisor when needed.
Provide feedback to the Operations Supervisor regarding employee performance and behavior.
Help coach and motivate employees to perform in the most efficient manner, ensuring employees have the necessary tools to perform their duties.
Required
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must have at least 2 years of warehousing experience with the ability to lead others.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Prior leadership experience desired.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of warehousing and distribution center operations.
Must be willing and able to work overtime when required.
Ability to work a normal shift and overtime, as required.
